02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Cornerstone House Centre Ltd’s main aim is to provide an accessible community resource providing a venue that delivers services which help and enable community development. The Centre provides space to allow various activities to take place which includes local groups, businesses, families and the Centre's own projects being delivered. The Centre is a recognised Community Anchor Organisation which operates within a Social Enterprise model generating unrestricted funds but is also supported by funding from external funders which greatly enhances the resource for local people. The opening hours of the Centre are planned to accommodate requests for one-off hires and recurring bookings. This Social Enterprise model generates unrestricted funding providing funding to help with overheads and maintenance in the main.
