02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
CFRC is a retail business. we collect donated furniture, purchase recycled white goods and textiles/paint and all are sold within our shop environment. This helps avoid items going to landfill. There is a positive social impact for people as goods are at a lower/more affordable cost, sometimes free and the charity helps to sustain jobs in the local area.

Constitutional objectives
The Company shall operate for the public benefit In pursuance of the following charitable purposes or objects: 3.1.1 the relief of poverty among residents of North, East and South Ayshire by obtaining, refurbishing and distributing furniture with the object of improving the condition of life of the said residents. 3.1.2 the advancement of education of persons living or working in and around North, East and South Ayrshire by initiating projects/programmes to get unemployed people back into work, with associated skills training, in particular (but not limited to) training in furniture restoration. 3.1.3 the advancement of citizenship or community development by seeking, at no cost, donations of furniture from the general public for re-distribution within North, East and South Ayrshire. 3.1.4 the advancement of environmental protection or improvement in the community by the management of waste, recycling, restoration and redistribution of unwanted furniture. and 3.1.5 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in North, East and South Ayrshire, by distributing basic items of furniture. 3.1.6 To carry out any other business which may be advantageously carried on in connection with this Article 3.1.
