02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To advance community development in Scotland, by maximising the impact of the community land movement as a major driver for community development across Scotland, and in particular through -promoting and representing the interests of community landowners across Scotland, at all levels of local and national government and their agencies - we do this through our policy and advocacy work around community landownership and land reform -promoting the benefits of community landownership and proactively encouraging new community landowners - we do this through our annual Community Land Festival, our community ownership roadshows, our culture and heritage programme -collaborating with all other relevant membership and support organisations to ensure that appropriate support services are provided to community landowners, in particular access to and uptake of existing services. We work closely with other networks -facilitating networking - through events and knowledge exchange
