What the charity exists to do
To bring about the building and installation of a monument and visitor attraction on land adjacent to the Scotland/England border and close to the major road connecting the two. The charity is looking to raise funds from various sources for this to happen, and it is hoped that work will commence in the near future.

Constitutional objectives
2.1 The advancement of citizenship or community development (including rural or urban regeneration) by creating a landmark that acts as a flagship for the regeneration process in the Gretna area. 2.2 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science, by creating a landmark of artistic merit, identifiable in promoting and marketing the region. 2.3 The advancement of environmental protection or improvement, by ensuring ongoing preservation and conservation of the natural environment and the promotion of sustainable development, where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
