Constitutional objectives

2. Charitable purposes The charitable purposes of the Foundation shall be:- (a) the advancement of health and the saving of lives by raising public awareness of Vasculitis and in particular, but without prejudice to the foregoing generality, Wegener's Granulomatosis (a form of Vasculitis) through media of all kinds, by the use of public relations agencies and by organising and running fund-raising events. and (b) the advancement of education by the funding of webinars (on line seminars) to the medical community and to the public at large by engaging high-profile speakers and leading authorities on Vasculitis, by the production and distribution to medical and health care organisations (including hospitals and GP practices) of leaflets, documents and corporate advertising generally either on webinar pages or in any other media format and by the funding of research by Universities or other research and educational institutions and by the provision of funding to applicants from Universities, research institutions, hospitals and other organisations involved in research into Vasculitis or related diseases and by the funding of other charitable institutions and charities. and (c) the relief of those in need who suffer from Vasculitis or care for those who suffer from Vasculitis or those in need by reason of age, ill-health and disability generally or those suffering financial hardship or other disadvantage because of Vasculitis or related diseases in such manner as may to the Trustees appear to be appropriate including (without prejudice to the foregoing generality) by supporting Vasculitis group meetings in Scotland and elsewhere and by the provision of patient grants to sufferers from Vasculitis and related diseases or those caring for such sufferers. and (d) any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of thepreceding purposes.
