Constitutional objectives

The Company's charitable purposes are: 5.1 the prevention or relief of poverty, through maximising the access of people with support needs and their families to their entitlements. 5.2 the advancement of education, through delivering training programmes and development activities with and to people with support needs, their families, and those who support them. 5.3 the advancement of citizenship or community development, through programmes and activities that ensure that people with support needs can live good lives as active members of their communities. 5.4 the advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation, through programmes and activities that ensure that people with support needs, and their families, are involved in decision-making, have their voices heard, and their human rights upheld. 5.5 the promotion of equality and diversity, through delivering programmes and activities that challenge discrimination of people with support needs and promote a more inclusive society. 5.6 the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage: 5.6.1 through delivering programmes and activities that advance an equitable, effective and efficient system of health and social care that ensures that people with support needs are able to plan and access support. 5.6.2 by influencing central and local government including National and local health services. responding to, promoting, opposing or supporting legislation or policies. and, petitioning and otherwise seeking to change public policy and practice for the benefit of people with support needs and their families.
