a.To advance the education of the public and particularly of the Sikh community in all aspects of Sikh culture, religion, history, language, literature, arts and music.b. To run a Sikh Temple for public worship according to Sikh law. To celebrate the principle Sikh religious festivals. To carry out baptisms, marriage and death ceremonies according to Sikh law and the law of the county.cTo advance education in the principles of the faith of the Sikh religion by : The propagation of the teaching of Guru Nanak, the 9 Gurus and the Guru Granth Sahib. Maintaining a public library and reading room. Encouraging and promoting the study of Sikh religion by religious and social meetings d.To teach the Punjab language to students and to provide recreational facilities and activities by organising games, prizes and Scholarships for students.e.To provide assistance to victims of disaster Funds as required.f. To protect and preserve good health among the Sikh Community.g.To relieve poverty, sickness and distress among the Sikh community and in Furtherance of this object to establish and administer a fund for relief of hardship among the Sikh community within the wider area. h.To promote the elimination of discrimination on grounds of gender, disability, religion, race, age 6r sexual orientation.i.To promote cordial and effective relations with the wider community through education, cultural exchange and other shared activities.
