02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Provide financial assistance to people under the age of 18, who reside in the Scottish Borders and to Junior Sports Clubs based in the TD1 post code area. This to help fulfil their sports career. Applicants apply through our online application forms. Each application is discussed on its own merit at our monthly committee meetings. Successful applicants attend our meeting to receive their award in cheque form and receive a Trust T-shirt. Funds are raised through Trust organised events. individual events such as marathons and sponsored walks/runs and through donations from local business and townsfolk

Constitutional objectives
The fundamental object of the Trust shall be to advance the public participation in sport' of enthusiastic youngsters aged under eighteen who live in the Scottish Borders, in order to support and develop their sporting potential. And in furtherance to this: Provide grants to aid the sporting advancement of sports persons under eighteen years of age at the time of application for such grant, and who are resident of the Scottish Borders, and who would anticipate, and or, be experiencing difficulty in financing their future sporting advancement. 'sport within the terms ofthese objects is defined as sport which means physical skill and exertion'
