02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

What We Do, Emergency Transport Support: Provide 4x4 vehicles and trained drivers to move essential personnel, patients, or supplies during severe weather (snow, floods, storms) or other emergencies. Community Assistance: Help vulnerable individuals access medical care, deliver prescriptions, or transport key workers when roads are impassable. Resilience Operations: Assist local authorities, Police Scotland, NHS, and other agencies during major incidents or civil contingencies. Event Support: Offer logistical support at public events, often promoting resilience and recruiting volunteers. How They Do It Volunteer Network: Members use their own 4x4 vehicles or unit vehicles, trained for off-road and adverse conditions. Training & Competency: Volunteers complete structured training . Off-road driving First aid Navigation (map, compass, GPS) Radio communications Safety & Vetting: All members undergo PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) checks and Police Scotland NPV vetting
