02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Campsie Memorial Hall Trust took over the running and the upkeep of the hall from East Dunbartonshire Council in December 2010. The trust manages, maintains and improves Campsie Memorial Hall for community use. Our main aims are to promote the use of the hall to the wider community, to sustain lets and raise the necessary funds to meet the running costs and maintain the hall.

Constitutional objectives

The objects of the Trust shall be to promote the benefit and history of the inhabitants of Lennoxtown and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved.
