What the charity exists to do
The group was set up in conjunction with the Scottish Ambulance Service to provide a rapid response in specific emergency situations prior to the arrival of an ambulance. Volunteers undergo training with SAS and provide the pre-emergency response to the community. The group also provides instruction to community members interested in learning about CPR

Constitutional objectives
The charitable objects of West Linton First Responders are to enable volunteer First Responders to attend Pre-Emergency Ambulance Care interventions in accordance with their training for the benefit of the whole community.
