02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We aim to support treatment time of childhood cancer by funding resources such as gift sets, entertainment, music therapists, make-up, ward resources etc. We gain fnds by running an annual golf tournament and by people doing funraisers for STAR for Harris.

Constitutional objectives

To advance education and raise awareness of childhood cancer. and to advance health in relation to childhood cancer through: Helping support cancer treatment through fundraising for equipment & resources Awareness raising about the reality of childhood cancer for families Reaching out and offering support to families being treated for cancer Raising awareness about the need for earlier diagnosis amongst medical professionals and healthcare workers Involving other childhood cancer charities, where appropriate, in working alongside STAR for Harris' in helping progress initiatives Sharing real stories about children who have been affected by cancer
