02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The purpose of the charity is the saving of lives, the relief of those in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. Beneficiaries are (to) the Community. The Charity carries out activities / provides services in itself. In particular by the dedicated provision of an emergency ambulatory or medical logistics/courier service utilised to transport critical items and/or key NHS or clinical personnel responding to a defined patient need, and any associated hospital volunteering projects This includes the transport of (but is not limited to) UN3373 biohazards samples (COV19), blood & blood products, tissues, equipment, pharmaceuticals, case- notes, files, clinical personnel responding to patients and medical supplies to both domestic and NHS sites. This includes supporting patients in the community, either in domestic or hospice locations. We do this by providing volunteers in support roles to transport items between nhs locations

Constitutional objectives
The objectives of the Group shall be: a. The saving of lives. and b. The relief of those in need by reason of ill-health or disability In particular by provision of an out of hours courier service to transport items of a medical nature to include blood, blood products, equipment, notes and samples to the central belt of Scotland. and to collect donor milk and deliver to neo-natal units within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area
