02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Cùram is a non-profit organisation. through a mixed programme of activities Cùram provides a range of activities and support, subsidised and/or free of charge to clients to help alleviate loneliness, improve mental and physical wellbeing and general good health and social interaction, particularly to those with no family or means of transport on an island with no public transport. Key activities and support are: • Seated and Balance Exercise Sessions • Group Lunch or coffee with Cùram in collaboration with island cafes and restaurants • Shopping Trip & and collecting shopping for those unable to shop for themselves • Meals on Wheels • Transporting clients to doctors/dentist appointments. transfers to airport or ferry • Collecting/delivering prescriptions • Monthly Prize Bingo • Ad hoc trips to museum. craft sessions. game afternoons
