02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
1. Promote and exchange cultural and social ties between the Nepalese community in Scotland and the friends of Nepal in Scotland. 2. Promote and support basic health and education initiatives in remote and underprivileged parts of Nepal through various charitable events. We do this though 1. Organize events promoting Nepalese and Scottish cultural, social and culinary diversity. 2. Provide a liaison service for individuals of Nepali origins (e.g. immigrants to the UK, students etc.) who may require assistance understanding Scottish national and local policies and services. Services could include translation, providing English language classes for those who need it etc. 3. Facilitate interested and enthusiastic friends of Nepal in Scotland promote and conduct activities that match the objectives of our organization.
