02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are a wind band for primary and secondary school children on the Isle of Islay. We have weekly practices, deliver concerts and organise mainland trips and activities to widen knowledge, experience and appreciation of music.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 to advance education 4.2 to advance arts, heritage & culture 4.3 by providing a musical outlet for children & young people in full time education & attend the primary & high schools of Islay and Jura & are players of Woodwind, Brass & Percussion instruments. Children & young people who are home schooled shall also be eligible provided that they are resident on either Islay or Jura
