'to promote, maintain, improve and advance education for the public benefit by promoting and encouraging the appreciation, knowledge and understanding of the art, history, heritage and techniques of quilting and associated stitched textiles (hereafter generally referred to as 'quilting') and to formulate, prepare and establish schemes therefore, provided that all the Objects of The Guild shall be exclusively charitable'.
