02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
NCAT works to give young people in our local are an opportunity to take part in training, work experience and employment opportunities. We do this by working alongside our partners in the local area including, ACDI, SL66 East Ayrshire Council and other partners. We also work to maintain and develop local green community spaces in our area. We work closely with Netherthird Primary School, Netherthird Community Development Group and other community groups to improve our local area and provide opportunities and activities for local people.

Constitutional objectives
4.1 The advancement of education through providing accredited training and employability skills, targeted particularly at young people not already in education, training or employment. 4.2 The relief of unemployment among residents of the Netherthird area, including assistance to gain experience and be assisted into full time employment through the provision of work experience for unemployed people. 4.3 The relief of financial hardship among people living or working in the Netherthird area by providing such persons with services which they could not otherwise afford through lack of means. 4.4 The advancement of citizenship and community development by promoting civic responsibility, encouraging volunteering activity and providing volunteers with the opportunity to learn new skills.
