Constitutional objectives
The purposes of the Trust are:- (1) To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation, sport, culture, social or other leisure time occupations for the general public to benefit the community within the Strathaven area and surrounding areas of South Lanarkshire. (2) To apply or pay the whole or such part of the free income and the whole or such part of the capital of the Trust Fund for such charitable purposes as are within the meaning assigned to the term 'charitable purposes' within the context of the Charities and Trustees Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 Section 7(2) as amended from time to time or any subsequent re-enactment thereof or to any charitable institutions, societies, foundations or funds as the Trustees in their sole discretion may from time to time consider desirable.
