02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The organisation provides musical education to members through the regular (weekly or twice weekly) rehearsals, to then enable the members to provide public performances of brass band music at various concerts and competitions in the local community throughout the year. The organisation secures appropriate rehearsal space for rehearsals to take place, purchase and provide the required music and musical instruments where members do not have access to one themselves

Constitutional objectives
1. The aim and objectives of the band shall be to promote the advancement of the arts and culture within in the community through: a) the practice and performance of music on a communal and amateur basis b) the education of members of the band in music techniques the provision of a community service by the public performance of music
