What the charity exists to do

To develop and maintain Alyth Community Woodland (including the orchard and bike park) for the long-term benefit of the people of Alyth and surrounds. The ongoing activities of the charity focus on keeping the community orchard and bike park in good condition, with the help of the charity trustees and additional volunteers.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 to develop and maintain Alyth Community Woodland for the long-term benefit of the people of Alyth and surrounds. 4.2 to encourage the use of Alyth Hill and Alyth Community Woodland for pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists. 4.3 to promote the use of Alyth Hill and Alyth Community Woodland for educational purposes. 4.4 to support and sustain wildlife and increase biodiversity on Alyth Hill and at Alyth Community Woodland. 4.5 to provide, maintain and encourage the use of facilities for rural leisure pursuits on Alyth Hill and at Alyth Community Woodland, with the exclusion of field sports and motorised sports. 4.6 to plant and maintain fruit trees and shrubs at Alyth Community Woodland for the benefit of the residents of Alyth and surrounds. 4.7 to plant areas of native trees for coppicing at Alyth Community Woodland for the benefit of the residents of Alyth and surrounds. 4.8 to promote Alyth Hill and Alyth Community Woodland to visitors.
