02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to provide events for local children throughout the year and during the festival week in July/August. The events are run using donations from local businesses and individuals which are collected via fundraising activities throughout the year, including but not limited to coffee mornings, sponsored events and bingo nights.

a) To further the advancement ofcitizenship/community development by continuing and developing the Eyemouth Children's Picnic and Herring Queen festival. b) To continue the advancement of heritage, culture and the arts by taking account of the traditions and history of the fishing community of Eyemouth and it's environs.
