02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Buzz project is set up to provide a safe space for young people to build confidence, resilience and transferable life skills through music and art. Our aim is to reduce social isolation, support mental health and well-being, and create opportunities for personal growth, education and employability. We achieve this by offering support with performances, songwriting, recording and sound production, alongside drop-in sessions where young people can socialise with their peers. we provide a number of workshops to allow young people to explore their creativity at their own pace, while developing teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. We work closely with agencies in the area to ensure those who need to, can access support. Through leadership, and public performances, young people are empowered to have a voice and showcase their skills.
