02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity was established by the late Heather Hoy to provide benefit to the public in Scotland and elsewhere. It does so by paying grants on a regular basis, with a particular focus on 3 purposes:- a. Relief of those suffering from cancer or heart disease b. Research into the causes of and cures from cancer c. Care of the elderly

Constitutional objectives
The Trust hereby created should be known as 'the Heather Hoy Charitable Trust? and the purposes of the Trust shall be to benefit recognised charitable institutions which support (i) the relief of those suffering from cancer or heart disease (ii) research into the causes of and cures for cancer and heart disease and (iii) the care of the elderly.
