02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Purpose of the Association is to provide in the. East Berwickshire and Dunbar area, through the work of its First Responder volunteer members, in accordance with their applicable Scottish Ambulance Service training, 'pre-emergency ambulance care', including Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Defibrillation, to individuals in respiratory or cardiac arrest or who are unconscious or are experiencing a serious or life threatening medical condition. The Association shall not be entitled to change its said Purpose other than to expand or contract the geographical area(s) in Scotland in which it operates.
