4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of education through the development of individual capabilities, skills and understanding in art, science, technology, traditional crafts and the sustainable use of natural materials. 4.2 The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture and science through the research, preservation, teaching and practice of ancient and traditional craftsmanship, technologies and ways of working with natural materials, including wood, clay, stone and metal. 4.3 The advancement of environmental protection and improvement through education, practical activities and community participation relating to nature restoration, biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of natural resources and the protection and enhancement of natural habitats.
