To train and develop young people in trade skills from low incomes and where normal academic routes to development do not work.

Constitutional objectives
1.1 To relieve poverty and those in need by reason of financial hardship or other disadvantage. 1.2 To promote and/or provide training in skills of all kinds, particularly such skills as will assist the obtaining of paid employment. 1.3 To promote education, or the organisation of educational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the activities are primarily intended. and 1.4 To advance citizenship or community development through the furthering of the foregoing purposes so as to provide benefit resulting in a high quality of life, people fulfilling their potential in terms of education and training, good health, employment, recreation and general well-being, in a clean environment and with ready access to good, well coordinated support services.
