The purposes of the SCIO are:- (i) the advancement of environmental protection or improvement in particular (but not exclusively) in the area of East Lothian, through the carrying out of or support of projects designed to tackle environmental issues or the advancement of education on environmental matters. and (ii) to promote similar charitable purposes, objects or institutions in such proportions and manner as the Trustees think fit
