02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We aim to promote citizenship and community development with a designated area known as the Glenkens. We do this by raising funds through our charity shop activities . We then provide funding to groups and individuals through twice-yearly funding allocation meetings. Every volunteer has the right to attend these meetings, and final decisions are made by a show of hands.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The advancement of citizenship and community development within the Glenkens, which is the villages as set out on the map in Appendix 1 4.2 The prevention or relief of poverty of inhabitants of the Glenkens. The purposes will be delivered through running a local charity shop and other fund raising activities, where funds raised will be distributed to local projects and individuals who are in financial need.
