02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The primary focus of the charity is to support a major investment in enhancing the outdoor learning spaces within the school grounds of Woodlands School. The school has made progress in developing a detailed plan and associated budget for the upgrade of the outdoor space, which has also helped to identify the funding gap between the projected costs and existing available resources. We anticipate that the school, the local authority, and Friends of Woodlands (FoW) will work collaboratively to explore ways to address this gap. FoW’s role will be to actively seek alternative funding streams with a view to bridging the shortfall and enabling the proposed improvements to proceed as planned.
