02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity provides scholarships, bursaries or grants to selected deserving students of the RCS including postgraduate students and graduates of the RCS proposing to continue their postgraduate studies elsewhere. It does this via the provision of support to the RCS Trust. The Trust also provides direct financial support to the RCS in the pursuit of its charitable activities.

The Trustees may also provide bursaries and grants to deserving students and graduates of the Conservatoire or the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, studying at the Conservatoire or elsewhere.
