02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide empowering Personal Safety training to vulnerable people and businesses. With our physical Barony St John Centre as well as our online presence, we also provide a point of contact for those who are at risk of abuse/violence or those seeking advice. And we raise awareness of the importance of Personal Safety throughout Scotland via newspaper articles, campaigns and protests.

The SCIO’s charitable purposes is: 1. The potential saving of lives and will include. i. The provision of practical training and solutions to help people avoid violence and aggression. ii. The raising of awareness of the importance of personal safety in Scottish communities. iii. The provision of a point of contact for those who are at risk of violence or those seeking advice in Scotland. iv. The reduction of the fear of crime throughout Scotland.
