02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To relieve poverty and unemployment amongst the residents of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and surrounding areas primarily among individuals who currently are long term unemployed or experience a disability, and among other individuals suffering a disadvantage in the workplace, by providing training, development and employment opportunities. To promote equality and diversity by actively promoting, to any business or organisation, the use of the guaranteed interview scheme, or similar scheme, for disabled candidates. To protect the natural environment from further damage caused by the proliferation of landfill sites by:- (i) the recycling of previously used timber and wood.(ii) discouraging the unnecessary depletion of natural resources(iii) promotion of other schemes in furtherance of charitable purposes which are of a similar nature
