02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Scottish Golf Charitable Trust is an arm of Scottish Golf Ltd and awards grants and bursaries to remove barriers and improve access to golf in Scotland. We believe that golf should be open to everyone to play, whatever their ability or circumstances. We exist to ensure everyone can access golf, fulfil their potential and feel the health and wellbeing benefits of this great sport. We want to encourage more people to play and enjoy golf, whether the occasional social golfer or those who can represent Scotland at the highest levels of the game. We want to help clubs and ensure their vital volunteers have the skills to support all their members and attract new members while creating a sustainable net zero future for Golf in Scotland. We do this by making grants to individuals, clubs and charities who share our aims and passion for golf.
