Constitutional objectives

4.1 the advancement of community development. 4.2 the promotion of the voluntary sector and the effectiveness or efficiency of charities, particularly through the provision of office accommodation and ancillary facilities for voluntary associations and charities. 4.3 the advancement of the arts, heritage, and culture. 4.4 the provision of recreational facilities, and the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life of service users, particularly within south-east Glasgow and its environs (the 'Operating Area'). 4.5 the advancement of citizenship and the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, particularly through encouraging self-development of young people and the elderly through participation in the activities offered. 4.6 the advancement of health, particularly through the provision of fitness classes and activities. and 4.7 the advancement of education primarily through (but not limited to) the operation of a centre providing a variety of facilities and activities based within the Operating Area.
