02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
VIKS exists to improve the education, health and wellbeing of children and young people, and to help them attain a brighter future. We do this through the VIKS Award, which makes direct monetary awards to children in education, supported by mentoring. through VIKS Vision, where volunteer medical professionals provide assessments for under-privileged children. and through activities and events for groups of children. The charity is run by its trustees and volunteers and has no paid staff.

Constitutional objectives
The purpose of VIKS is to improve the daily living, health , wellbeing and education of adolescents and teenagers (hereafter referred to as KidS). The focus for this group is to enhance the experience of 'growing up' and to help attain a better and brighter future for KidS.
