02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Onthank men's club is set up to help men over the age of 50 in our local community to stop loneliness and isolation first and foremost, we also make sure our members have something to drink hot or cold plus have something eat hot rolls, soup whilst at the club and any leftovers are taken home. we provide days out to increase their social skills ie trips, tenpin bowling, mini golf. we also hold 5 dances over the year which the members can bring family and friends to. many members say the club have been a life line to them and their family.

To relieve need and distress particularly among the elderly men of Northwest Kilmarnock and its environs (the Operating Area) To advance education among the elderly men of the Operating Area To improve the life of elderly men resident in the Operating Area with opportunities for leisure and recreation through the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities.
