02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Lyle Gateway is set up to provide a place of meeting and fellowship primarily but not restricted to those living in the West End of Greenock. A range of recreational facilities for the local community and users of the organisation with those attending being able to take part in recreational games and activities in group or individual situations. Lyle Gateway makes available suitable practical information on a variety of subjects to the users of the facilities together with support and assistance in accessing more specialised information and advice providers at the facilities of the organisation (e.g wellbeing sessions, financial advice, energy advice). Generally, through the regular and stable provision of these specialised facilities and services, Lyle Gateway helps to enhance the quality of life and the sense of community within the West End of Greenock and beyond.
