02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Glasgow Living Waters Church is a charity of African and ethnic minority origins but also inclusive of all individuals, local citizens within the City of Glasgow . Its purposes include prevention, relief of poverty, advancement of citizenship and community development. Through its purposes the charity provides for and establishes an environment through which disadvantaged men, women, youth and children are empowered. These groups are empowered by being properly identified and engaged to utilize available resources for their own benefit, that of the Glasgow (Castlemilk, Rutherglen , Govan) Community and its surrounding areas as well as for the sustainable development of the community at large.

Constitutional objectives
The Mission of Glasgow Living Waters Church International is 'spearheading revival and building and inspiring lives' through the Christian gospel, tampered with joyful praise and the love of God. Accordingly, GLWCI is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4 .1 To advance the Christian religion in Scotland and elsewhere in the world [Mark 16: 15-18. Mat 28: 19. 1 John 4: 7. Acts 2: 46-47] 4.2 To demonstrate God's love to all regardless of differences based on race, religion, colour, nationality, ethnicity, clan, gender, sex, age, or any other difference [Galatians 3: 26-27. Ephesians 4: 4-6] 4.3 To enhance unity and stability of families 4.4 To relieve hardship, poverty, destitution or other disadvantage or suffering [John 3: 16-17. Rom 15: 13. Galatians 6: 9-10]. 4.5 To advance community development through efforts to end crime and anti-social behaviour, in particular domestic violence, abuse, substance misuse and delinquency and equipping the community with life skills.
