02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to provide support to local LGBT+ people in the Scottish Borders as well as helping to provide information to organisations that want to improve how inclusive they are for LGBT+ people in the Scottish Borders. We do this by hosting a monthly LGBT+ meet up in the central Borders area which includes an information stand and take this information stand to other events we are invited to. For organisations we can go in and run informal group workshops and provide one to one sessions to help staff understand what they can do to better support LGBT+ people in the Scottish Borders.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are to promote, preserve and protect the mental and physical health and social welfare of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community in the Scottish Borders by: ? promoting equality and recognition as equal members of the community. ? promoting access and social inclusion. ? improving emotional and physical well-being. ? actively working to reduce discrimination. ? Increasing awareness and visibility.
