02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Breadalbane Canoe Club introduces primary school children to canoe slalom, offering progressive training, safety-focused pool sessions, and affordable access to equipment. The children are supported in their paddling journey with eventually being able to paddle at our local, renowned course at Grandtully. Grandtully slalom course is the only white water natural course where paddlers can compete at the elite level in the UK. The club supports paddlers from diverse backgrounds and encourages teenagers to gain coaching and safety qualifications while mentoring younger participants. Breadalbane Canoe Club is an inclusive club aiming to provide affordable and accessible paddling opportunities for the local community. Our recreational section caters for all ages, backgrounds and levels of ability. We run fortnightly recreation sessions from beginner to intermediate level to introduce people to paddling in various different craft to suit their needs.
