What the charity exists to do
The purpose of the charity is to benefit those in the local community who are diagnosed with Downs Syndrome, their families and anyone with an interest in the groups aims and objectives by providing recreational facilities or organising recreational activities with the aim of improving the conditions of life for the people, for who the facilities or activities are intended. the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. the advancement of education. the promotion of equality and diversity. Regular group meetings and group trips to local events. Advocate on behalf of the down syndrome community with the local authority and local health/wellbeing organisations.
