What the charity exists to do
Jointly manages a local nature reserve to maintain and preserve the legacy of a local site dear to the hearts of many in the local community. It helps maintain pathways and manages the safe use of the site by the local community and visitors to Orkney.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's purposes are: 1.To conserve, protect and improve the natural and cultural heritage of the area of land known as Happy Valley, to retain its ethos and uniqueness for public benefit and enjoyment. 2.To preserve, sustainably, the natural, man-made and cultural history of this area for the advancement of education of the local and visiting population. 3. To promote the care of the trees, plants and wildlife of the area and the responsible and sustainable use of this bio diverse environment, the woodland and other habitats on the land.
