02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Charity is set up to help individuals with Aspergers and Austims. This is done throught helping them develop there social skills with there peers with similar issues. This is done through activites within the centre such as playing, crafts, use of sensory equipment. Computers and gaming systems. etc. There centre has support for parents and families of these individuals and are with them during the period they are there.

  • the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage

Constitutional objectives

2. Aim and Objectives The association's objective is to offer support to parents, carers, and individuals of all ages with Additional Support Needs from the West Dumbartonshire area and nearby regions who are affected by Additional Support Needs by: The organisation and provision of recreational activities will serve to: a. Reduce social isolation within the community by providing access to suitable venues, training opportunities, leisure activities, and social events tailored to individual needs b. Offer a variety of health, education, and leisure programmes tailored to the specific needs of centre users. These objectives will be accomplished through initiatives such as organised excursions, culinary workshops, informational seminars, input from specialists, computer literacy courses, and related activities.
