What the charity exists to do

SAWA, the Scottish Arab Women Association - is a charity organisation which aims to help and re-integrate newly come refugees into the society around them. SAWA achieve this through various ways of befriending, advocacy, supports with education, financial instability, housing, instability, and much more. SAWA aims to be a helping hand, reaching out to those who do not know where to receive the help.

Constitutional objectives

to advance citizenship for the Arab women and their children through volunteering, civil activities and empowering those women to be an effective part of Scottish Society. ? to advance equality for and among diverse EM women through raising awareness and strengthening bonds among all community constituents promoting equal opportunities and community cohesion through community events and delivering training and activities stimulating active citizenship. ? to relief poverty among EM women through advancing health awareness, training opportunities, women leadership, employment opportunities, volunteering and sport recreation as a means to tackling isolation and exclusion for these women groups ..
