What the charity exists to do

The North East Scotland Police Welfare Fund is set up to support members of the wider Police family from the north east of Scotland when in financial need.

Charitable purposes

Constitutional objectives

4 The organisation's purposes are: A The prevention or relief of hardship by providing financial assistance in conditions of need to: I Former Officers and members of the Special Constabulary (and/or their dependants) of Grampian Police or its constituent Forces, or the Police Service of Scotland (North East Division), or any future Police administrative divisions covering the same area of North East Scotland. II Former members of Police Support Staff (and/or their dependants) of the Police Forces as specified above. III Widows or widowers (and/or their dependants) of former officers of the Police Forces as specified above. IV Widows or widowers (and/or their dependants) of former members of Police Support Staff of the Police Forces as specified above. V Any other person (and/or their dependants) having had some connection with the Police Forces as specified above, whether Police Officer or Police Support Staff B I To support charities whose purposes include the provision of benefit to persons (and/or their dependants) who have or have had some connection with Police Forces covering the North East of Scotland II To support organisations or bodies who have themselves provided support to persons (and/or their dependants) who have or have had some connection with Police Forces covering the North East of Scotland. III To support persons (and/or their dependants) who have had some connection with Police Forces covering the North East of Scotland, whom the Committee consider would, in all the circumstances, benefit thereby from an improved quality of life.
