02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
SJC exists to provide a social afternoon for people with dementia and their carers. We offer various activities, with the focus mainly on music and a bit of dancing for some members. Our motto is music, laughter and friendship. People make new friends when they join the Club or volunteer with us. We are a big part of the local community and have inter-generational activity with local schools and organisations.

Constitutional objectives
4.1 To provide stimulating activities for its members and guests. 4.2 To provide social interaction among members, guests and other clubs. 4.3 To provide information and signpost members and guests to other agencies where they may secure the information they require. 4.4 To improve the quality of life and enhance the self-esteem of its members and guests.
