02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up to provide arts activities for young people, focussing on high SIMD Areas. Our main activity is running free weekly outreach Drum Clubs, where all instruments are provided. We currently run 8 clubs per week, four afterschool club sessions at four primary schools (p5 - p7), three improvers/ intermediate sessions which run early evenings aimed at ages 11 - 18yrs and one in school session for young people with disabilities. Our youth band Pulse of the Place perform at many events through the year.
