02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Global Minorities Alliance exists to support minority communities facing discrimination, exclusion and disadvantage. We work to promote human rights, encourage understanding and reconciliation, and help ensure that minority voices are heard. We also support access to education and other opportunities for people who may be excluded because of their background or status. Where possible, we aim to reduce inequalities affecting health and wellbeing, particularly where communities have experienced trauma, abuse or other forms of hardship. Overall, our purpose is to help minority communities overcome barriers, access opportunities and live with greater dignity, security and equality.

The advancement of health, by providing facilities to redress community inequalities and alleviate suffering caused by trauma/abuse, which is something that minority groups can often be disproportionately affected by
