02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Trust shall pay or apply the income or capital of the Trust Fund for the benefit of such charitable purposes or charitable institutions in such proportions or manner as the Trustees in their absolute discretion shall decide. By supporting other charities, the Trustees aim is to provide public benefit by ensuring that the front line charitable activities of those organisations can be sustained. The Trust's principal activity at present is to provide support to the Gordon & Ena Baxter Foundation but also various other donations have been made to other organisations too.

Constitutional objectives
The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income of it to pay and apply the same to or for the benefit of or in furtherance of such charitable purposes or charitable institutions in Scotland, and particularly but not exclusively in the Grampian, Highlands and Islands regions of Scotland, in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit. In exercising their discretion in terms of this Clause the Trustees shall give primary consideration to the wishes of those persons who gift or lend funds to the Trust but this proviso shall impose no binding obligation on the Trustees.
